WHERE WE WORK
PARTNERS

Pragya first joined Global Brigades during her first year at McMaster University in 2014. Since then, she has participated in three Medical Brigades and helped establish the Engineering, Public Health, and Business Chapters on campus. Pragya served as President of the Medical Chapter and Campus Chairperson for the McMaster GB Chapters. During her undergraduate career, she
learned her passion for reducing global health inequities, education, and sustainable development through a community-based and collaborative approach. During this time, she became most interested in training volunteers pre-brigade in order to cultivate culturally competent and informed leaders. She also serves as the Co-Chair of the National Education Committee (NEC), working with volunteers across Canada to evaluate and improve GB education material. Pragya joined the Board of Directors in 2019 and now serves as Director-at-Large and Education Co-Lead.

Pragya holds an Honours BSc. in Life Sciences and is concurrently in the Master of Public Health (MPH) program at McMaster and the Water Without Borders graduate program at United Nations University. Through graduate studies and ongoing involvement with GB, she hopes to continue integrating her education with practical work in the field of global health by working with and empowering underserved communities globally.
