He attended University College London, where he earned a BSc and MSc in Economics. Aiden first became involved with Global Brigades in 2011 with his first Microfinance brigade in Ghana. He went on to lead a brigade the following year, and was President and a founder of the Chapter at University College London.
Aiden believes that Global Brigades can be a powerful tool to improve lives in those communities it reaches, and by developing, implementing, and tracking the effects of these interventions, bit by bit, communities can be lifted out of poverty. He also believes that the benefits are reciprocal, with volunteers developing their maturity and leadership, as well as their understanding of global economic and social conditions. Aiden has previously served as Treasurer of Global Brigades UK from June 2018 to October 2019.
