Madison Sweitzer joined the Volunteer Engagement team in September 2021. She graduated magna cum laude from the University of Richmond in 2019, where she studied Global Studies with a concentration in Development and Latin American, Latinx, and Iberian Studies. While at UR, she also spent a semester studying abroad in Buenos Aires, Argentina at Universidad Católica de Argentina. Madison earned her Masters in Social Justice and Community Organizing from Prescott College in 2022.

Prior to Global Brigades, Madison worked as a Princeton in Latin America Fellow in the Dominican Republic and the Outreach Director at Highland Support Project in Richmond, VA. Madison is excited to continue working in the international nonprofit sector, and all that I’ll be able to learn from the wide range of projects. She loves the collaborative and team-oriented culture, and the ability to stay connected to Latin America from Richmond.

In her free time, Madison loves to run, read, do yoga, and try new restaurants & recipes for her food blog.
